I am in mid-term in my cover – can I switch now?
Yes of course, you can switch your health insurance policy at any time with no new exclusions or waiting periods as long as you are not upgrading your benefits.
I have a health claim currently being processed – can I take out a new policy?
Yes of course, if you switch to us today, we will cover any claims incurred from today onwards so long as you have served your waiting periods. For any claims, with your current insurer, you will need to contact them directly.
If I switch to you today, will I have to serve any waiting periods?
There will be no new waiting periods or exclusions as long as you have already served your waiting periods with your existing insurer and are not upgrading your benefits.
If I switch today and upgrade my health insurance plan, what waiting periods do I have to serve?
There is a two year waiting period for all plan upgrades for pre-existing conditions only. That means, you will still access the benefits you had on your old plan but if you are currently experiencing any condition, you must wait two years to access the enhanced benefits for that condition only.
I was in hospital last year, will this affect the cost of my health insurance plans?
Due to the community rating regulation, everyone must pay the same price for the same plans so even if you had a claim last year, you will still pay the same price as everyone else
I am over 60, will you cover me?
Yes due to open enrolement, all health insurers must accept all customers for cover. So it doesn’t matter how old you are, or if you have had previous claims, we will cover everyone and charge everyone the same price
